About Us

Art for the Heart Doneraile is a voluntary community group established in 2018 by a team of local people with a real interest in art, culture and their community and an idea to establish creative arts-based community events in Doneraile.

Annual events by Art for the Heart Doneraile include:

• Doneraile Arts Festival
• Samhain Festival
• International Women's Day
• Culture Night

Our events attract people from the local community and visitors from further afield.

Funding

Art for the Heart is a not for profit, unincorporated community group and we rely on fundraising, small grant funding, ticket sales for some events, donations and sponsorship.

How We Work

Art for the Heart Doneraile has a written constitution guiding the way we work. This is available on request. We are signed up to the Safe to Create pledge.

Safeguarding & Child Protection

Art for the Heart Doneraile recognises its responsibilities to ensure a safe environment is provided for all children and vulnerable adults taking part in its activities. Art for the Heart Doneraile has a Safeguarding Policy & Child Protection Policy; these policies along with our commitment to Safe to Create inform how we will provide a safe environment and protect children and vulnerable adults.

All facilitators and volunteers working with children and vulnerable adults will be Garda Vetted in line with best practice. The Designated Person is Pat Beirne (087 150 8858).
